It gives me immense pleasure to welcome you to
SAHA INTERNATIONAL CAMPUS.
I strongly believe that education should not merely
be a means of obtaining a certificate; it should be a
pathway towards skills, opportunities,
independence and a better future. The right
professional education can empower an individual to
overcome challenges, discover their potential and
build a meaningful career.
My belief in this principle comes from personal experience.
At one point in my life, due to circumstances beyond my
control, I was unable to continue my higher education.
With only the G.C.E. Ordinary Level as my formal
educational qualification, I experienced firsthand the
difficulties faced by a person who may possess ability,
determination and potential, but does not have access to
higher education or the qualifications traditionally
demanded by the employment system.
That experience made me recognise an important reality:
society often evaluates people not only by what
they can do, but also by the certificates they possess.
At the same time, every individual is not given the same
educational opportunities, and not everyone will succeed
through the same academic pathway. Each person has
different abilities, interests and aspirations. Many young
people leave school without a clear pathway to a career,
while many women and adults remain economically dependent
because they have not had the opportunity to obtain a
recognised qualification or develop a marketable skill.
This is one of the reasons
SAHA INTERNATIONAL CAMPUS was established.
Our mission is to provide accessible, affordable and
industry-focused education that enables individuals to
develop practical skills, obtain meaningful qualifications
and create sustainable opportunities for themselves.
We believe that everyone deserves an opportunity
to learn, develop a skill and build a better future
—regardless of where they started.
Through our academic and professional programmes, we aim
to support young adults, women seeking greater independence,
school leavers, aspiring entrepreneurs and anyone who is
determined to improve their future through education and skills.
Our approach is built on three important principles:
Affordable Education – Quality education
should not become a privilege available only to those who
can afford it.
Industry-Focused Skills – Education must
prepare learners for the real world by developing practical
and relevant skills that can create employment and
entrepreneurship opportunities.
Entrepreneurship – We want our learners
not only to seek employment, but also to have the confidence
and ability to create opportunities for themselves and others.
We are determined to contribute towards addressing the
growing unemployment challenge in Sri Lanka by creating
pathways through professional and vocational education.
Our goal is not simply to produce certificate holders,
but to develop skilled, confident and capable
individuals who can contribute meaningfully to
society and the economy.
Our vision extends beyond Sri Lanka.
We aspire to build SAHA INTERNATIONAL CAMPUS into
one of Sri Lanka’s leading institutions for professional
and skills-based education, while creating pathways
through which our institution and, most importantly, our
students can reach the international stage.
The journey ahead is ambitious, but our purpose is clear.
We are not here merely to provide education.
We are here to create opportunities, develop skills
and transform lives through education.
I invite every individual who is willing to learn,
willing to work and determined to build a better future
to become a part of this journey.
Because with the right professional education
and the right skills, challenges can become opportunities—
and opportunities can become success.
